"Guess how many Jelly beans are in the jar"

The children in year 3 chose Make Them Smile as their designated charity when they held a fund raising day on Thursday the 14th of May.

They each took time to write a letter to the charity and made some lovely posters for the guess how many Jelly beans are in the jar.

The year 3 pupils have worked very hard creating their idea for the class charity and working out the cost of this.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the year 3 pupils, to everybody  that participated and a special thank you to Ms Bates for making this event possible.

We are proud to announce that our Welfare and Bereavement Support Project has been generously funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.The funding will cover;

  • Karen, Bereavement Officer

  • Paul, Support & Welfare Officer

  • Deanne, Support & Welfare Officer

Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to:

  • Provide families with personalised guidance and crisis support

  • Assist with small grants for essentials, travel for hospital appointments, and benefit access

  • Organise community activities that reduce isolation and foster connection

  • Help families navigate the challenges of rising living costs and complex care needs

This project was shaped by the voices of over 500 families we serve and continues to grow with their input. Our goal is simple but essential; no family should face their journey alone.

Toby’s Latest Race Update March 2025

Despite only being four weeks into his recovery from illness, Toby was determined to take on today’s 10K race in Nantwich—and he absolutely smashed it!

He was the youngest wheelchair racer in the event and placed an incredible 3rd.

This was Toby’s first-ever 10K, and while nerves got the better of him at times—causing him to be sick three times—he pushed through. On the third occasion, paramedics briefly stopped him for a breather, but he was determined to continue and finished strong.

Nerves are part of the journey, and with each race, he’s building confidence and resilience.

Toby now has his own website at www.tobyrichardson.uk
